The petition to contest the election results was submitted to the tribunal by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Gboyega Oyetola, who was the party’s candidate in the Osun State governorship election on July 16.
The legal team’s leader, Rasheed Adegoke, as well as Famodun indicated shortly after that the party and its candidate have a strong case.
Our legal staff has given us advice, Famodun stated.
“There are a lot of folks here today who think our case is strong. And I believe that by God’s grace, we will have reason to celebrate at the end of the day.
The petition “has been received by the tribunal registry,” according to Adegoke.
“Activities related to the tribunal procedures will be in high gear over the next few days.
We are therefore presenting the petition today because, based on its core premises, we think Alhaji Isiaka Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress should have won the election.
That is the election’s core issue, then.
